The Centre
Built in 1990, Putney Exchange Shopping Centre is a premium shopping destination located in the centre of Putney, South West London and provides a vibrant and attractive shopping environment blending a mixture of well-known High Street brands with an eclectic mix of independent retailers. The centre is anchored by Waitrose and a 21,250 sq. ft. H&M. In April 2017 extensive works were undertaken to redesign the central concourse relocating passenger lifts and creating four new fit for purpose retail units.
Shopping Eating and Drinking
The enclosed and fully air conditioned shopping centre, is accessed by two high street entrances. With a variety of quality retailers, you can find a range of fashion, food, gifts, stationary, sportswear and much more. In 2019, high street favourite Wilko will be joining the retail line-up, adding even more variety for customers.
On the upper mall level more shops can be found including Argos, stylish children’s footwear brand, Step2wo London and Aflair for Home an independent home furnishing store, boasting a range of high quality interiors and furniture. Also on the first floor is Kids Stuff, a favourite for toys and games and Gymboree, a children’s soft play offering sensory play classes. Both are conveniently situated on the same floor as our state of the art parent and child suite with dedicated changing and feeding areas for babies as well as parent and child cubicles. Our adult customer toilets are also fantastic, previously winning a “Loo of the Year” award.
The centre also has a variety of places to grab a coffee or a quick snack. Inside the centre Costa and Brownie Box are on hand for a coffee and a sweet treat. Inside Waterstones there is also Dillon’s Cafe, a cosy spot where you can relax with your favourite read. You could also pop round to our lovely Lacy Road shops, and enjoy authentic Italian food from Guiliano Deli, or some Nordic coffee and cake from BlaBar a Nordic lifestyle café. Gail’s Bakery has opened on Lacy Road, offering freshly baked bread and other treats. It is a wonderful place to meet and it is open from 7am on weekdays!
Car Parking
The entrance to the shopping centre’s car park can be found on Lacy Road. Open during shopping centre hours and providing 290 spaces the car park ensures safe and convenient parking over two levels. We also have six free to use ‘charge vehicle charging points’ on the roof level of the car park. A car washing and valeting service, Pitstop, operates within the car park. Waitrose also offer their customers spending £20 or more, their first hour of parking free. (some restrictions apply).
The Putney Exchange is open seven days a week and is conveniently located on Putney High Street with excellent transport links and easy access to buses, trains, two underground stations and river boat services!
